The Cornwall and the Counties Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) Nomination Committee invites applications to serve on the organization’s volunteer Board of Directors.
Applicants are to:
• reside in Stormont, Dundas, & Glengarry (SD&G), Cornwall, or Akwesasne;
• be skilled in business;
• commit to a minimum of 5 hours a month for a period of up to three years with possibility of additional terms to a maximum of six years in total.
Board members meet monthly for general oversight, policy development and financial review. Board members are expected to actively participate in montly meetings and on committees.
The Cornwall & the Counties Community Futures Development Corporation is one of 15 Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) in eastern Ontario funded by the Community Futures Program through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (Fed Dev Ontario). We deliver a wide variety of programs and services to support community economic development and small business growth.
The organization is operated by professional, full time staff. The Executive Director manages the human resources, financial, programming and administrative functions with support from employees qualified in economic development, community economic development, lending and communications.
